in the middle

in the middle

...In the middle of all that is breaking and heating up, I wish for all of us a time out of time where you sit down and are asked with curiosity about where you've been, how you've been, what moves you.

That's what happened in the past few weeks. Feeling all I had the capacity to do was speak - not write, not dance, not run, not embody - I spoke to Paul Trammell of Dream Chasers and Eccentrics and I spoke to Joe Dimino who in his "Famous Interviews" profiles "the Finest Folks from Everywhere."

What I loved about these podcast hosts is their passion - in the middle of all that is fragmenting and dissolving - their passion to engage in conversations that want to see into the heart of each other.

Oh to look into who each of us is, what drives us and breaks us open and puts us back together. One by one, all together, may we stand up in all our stories and live them.

I wish I had the energy to interview everyone, I do! It was so beautiful to be engaged in curious conversation. So I want to say - I'd love to hear some of your answers to the questions I was asked. Joe starts all his interviews asking about yourself in the pandemic - remember that? Paul asked about why I went where I went. What would your replies be? Paul Trammell lives on a sailboat which is currently somewhere near Panama, and has gone to wild places like the Ragged Islands, and has written almost one book a year since he started his journeys. Joe Dimino is based in Kansas City, Missouri. He began as a Sports Writer in 1993 which led him into all kinds of adventures like "inventing poems, art, video & audio." I met both of them through a cool site called PodMatch that matches up podcast guests and hosts.

what I'm reading

Rest is Resistance by Tricia Hersey. Disrupt and push back against capitalism and white supremacy. In this book, Tricia Hersey, aka The Nap Bishop, encourages us to connect to the liberating power of rest, daydreaming, and naps as a foundation for healing and justice.

what I'm listening to

Ancestral healing by Daniel Foor. Dr. Daniel Foor is a ritualist and educator focused on helping others to reclaim their innate capacity to relate with their ancestors and with the greater web of other-than-human kin.

what I'm promoting

I am up for - gently, curiously, kindly - editing/sharing feedback on your pages in progress. Memoir, fiction, poetry, plays, scripts, or hybrids – whatever you write, you are the authority of your own vision. My goal is to support your own original story work and share nuanced feedback to see into the heart of your writing - and you! More here

lines of resonance

...I heard someone say the other day, my identity is dissolving.

a woman who longs for mountains "my heart does not have any other job"

..,lines of resonance that sense into the spaces I'm living right now.

onwards with curiosity and some hope...
